iPhone 5 Rumours Suggest 3.5-inch

And if it calculates that the next Apple iPhone 5 would have a large 4.6-inch screen appeared, a conflicting report made it a new device would retain the 3.5-inch screen size seen on all previous iPhone devices. As with the majority Apple-related rumors, this one comes from an unnamed source, so can not be verified at this time.
The report adds that it has and in addition to the 3.5-icnh screen, the new phone will be compatible with 4G LTE networks, although probably not in the United Kingdom. This is hardly a surprise though, given the new iPad has introduced support for fast LTE connections.

There is also a chance of the standard 30-pin connector being made smaller on the new model, allowing Apple to experiment with new chassis designs. Due to the massive amount of third-party accessories already using the full-size connector, Apple should introduce a ‘micro dock’ connector, it would probably have to provide some kind of adapter to make it compatible with those products too, or they risk annoying a lot of people who’ve purchased expensive sound docks.
Yet another rumor has linked a future Apple product with the introduction of an integrated universal remote control, following the discovery of an extensive patent filing for such a device. This fits in with talk of an Apple TV, and rumor which has gained considerable momentum over the past six months, but is still unconfirmed.
Despite the many rumors circulating at the moment, there’s still a long way to go before we get any official ‘new’ iPhone news from Apple.

The iPhone 5 coming in October 2012

The sixth generation of Apple’s iPhone, the iPhone 5 is thought to be arriving in Apple stores in October 2012. The suggested date is a year after the launch of the iPhone 4. Of course, Apple are staying quiet about the new phone, but that hasn’t stopped people speculating about proposed differences between the old and new. Fans are already eagerly awaiting their visit to Virgin mobile, Three or O2 to upgrade at the end of the year.

Wireless charging
It is thought the phone won’t need a port-cable connection to charge. The iPhone 5 might use inductive charging, where you place the phone on a charge mat, so it can charge through induction. It’s a clever idea if true. We’re known for leaving phones lying around, on the desk at work, on the side at home. What if it can charge it at the same time wherever it lays?

Battery improvement
The trouble with the iPhone has always been, there is so much packed into them, the battery loses life quickly. That probably won’t change, but the iPhone 5 might be the first to use the organic radical battery (ORB) technology, that’s been developed by Japan’s NEC. The battery is environmentally-friendly in comparison to the standard lithium ion batteries. And the ORB has a ridiculously fast recharge time (30 seconds) and higher energy density. This means it will pack more power into a smaller battery.

Appearance
There is no doubting Apple puts a lot of effort into product appearance, so why would they change that now? The iPhone 5 will have a modern, thin look apparently. The shape may not be what we expect though. Also, to add to the environmentally friendly factor, naturally-sourced plastics might be used for the casing.
We shall have to wait a few months before we can test it out for ourselves. Until then, we shall happily speculate along with everyone else.

Apple iPhone 4S vs Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

Apple and Sony are two topnotch companies in the technological arena and have been at loggerheads always. The arrival of the classy Apple iPhone 4S intensifies the rivalry between the two for which we are comparing the new iPhone 4S with Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc on the basis of various parameters such as ergonomics, memory, camera, operating system, battery, etc.

Ergonomics:
The Xperia Arc beats the iPhone 4S when it comes to sophisticated look by being unbelievably, impossibly thin. The two however have slight difference in their thickness with the Xperia Arc being 8.7 mm as against 9.3 mm of the iPhone 4S. The Xperia Arc is amazingly light, weighing a mere 119 g as compared to 140 g that the iPhone 4S weighs. However, the iPhone 4S has an amazing LED-backlit IPS TFT, capacitive touchscreen while the Xperia Arc seems to have settled for a simpler LED-backlit LCD. Also, the iPhone 4S has an extraordinary retina display. In fact, it has been pronounced to be the highest-resolution phone screen ever. The pixel density is so high that the human eye is unable to differentiate between the individual pixels. As a result of this wonderfully high resolution, the iPhone 4S has crisp and clear text, sharp graphics and splendid images. Compared to the iPhone 4S, the Xperia Arc has a meager resolution of 480*854 pixels.
Operating System:
The iPhone 4S is a clear winner here as it is equipped with the world’s most advanced mobile operating system- the iOS 5. The Ericsson Xperia Arc possesses an Android platform, running on Gingerbread, a sturdy operating system but nothing compared to the iOS 5. The iOS 5 has introduced over 200 brand new features making the iPhone 4S unique and one of its kind.
Memory:
The capacious internal memory of the iPhone 4S beats the Xperia Arc with its 16/32/64 GB memory storage as against the mere 320 MB of internal memory provided by the Xperia Arc. The only major letdown by the iPhone 4S in this field is that we cannot use a memory card in this phone. The Xperia Arc has a card slot allowing a microSD up to 32 GB.
Camera:
When it comes to camera, both the phones delight us with their 8 MP resolution and their features of backlight illumination sensor, awesome auto white balance, advanced color accuracy, face detection and reduced motion distortion. No matter what we have to capture and how much light there is, everything looks exactly as it should. The iPhone 4S has a plus point over the Xperia Arc by possessing a secondary camera of VGA. The iPhone 4S beats the Xperia Arc in video recording too by its ability to shoot striking 1080p HD video. The video stabilization in the iPhone 4S steadies wobbly shots. The Xperia Arc on the other hand possesses a simple 720p video.
Connectivity:
Though the iPhone 4S easily beats the Xperia Arc in connectivity, both have numerous facets such as WLAN, 2G, 3G and of course, Bluetooth. The iPhone 4S is the first intelligent phone that can switch between two antennas (GSM or CDMA) to transmit and receive signals. In other words, the call quality is awesome. The HSDPA data speed is 14.4 Mbps as compared to the Xperia Arc’s mere 7.2 Mbps. This means that the iPhone 4S enables more rapid connections, downloading, loading and reloading. The iPhone 4S is in fact a world phone. Irrespective of where you are and whether you are a GSM or CDMA user, you can use the phone almost anywhere.
Battery Life:
The Xperia Arc beats the iPhone 4S with its lithium-polonium 1500 mAh fuel as against the 1420 mAh that the iPhone 4S possesses. The Xperia Arc provides better stand-by time but the iPhone 4S performs better when it comes to talk time and music play. Moreover, the iPhone 4S possesses a dual core A5 chip which is the most powerful iPhone processor ever. Since the A5 chip is power-efficient, the iPhone 4S has an amazing battery life.

The best camera phones Top 5

With mobile phone cameras becoming increasingly sophisticated and starting to rival dedicated point and click cameras we take a look at five of the best camera phones.
But while some are great at capturing a great shot others produce very disappointing images – so Which? puts each to the test to see which perform the best in a variety of conditions. You can find out more in on our how we test mobile phones page.
The best 5 camera phones

1. Apple iPhone 4S

While previous versions of the iPhone had quite disappointing cameras when compared to some of their rivals, Apple has really focused on the camera in the 4S version – bumping up the resolution to 8Mp, adding a fifth lens to improve picture quality and increasing the size of the aperture to help in low-light conditions.
See how the iPhone 4S stacks up against the competition in our full lab test.

2. Samsung Galaxy S2

Samsung’s flagship device comes with an impressive 8Mp autofocus snapper, with LED flash and a range of features including geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection. To round-up a very impressive set of specs, the camera can also record video in full HD 1080p resolution making it sound like a fantastic all-rounder.
See our Galaxy S2 review to find out how the camera performed in our lab.

3. LG Optimus 3D

Featuring not just one 5Mp camera but two, the Optimus 3D is capable of taking both 2D and 3D photos.  Autofocus is included, along with an LED flash – plus, the phone can record 3D videos in 720p resolution or 2D videos in 1080p. You can also watch the 3D content without the need for special glasses thanks to its stereoscopic screen.
But how does the LG Optimus 3D performs when put to the test in our labs?

4. HTC Incredible S

An impressive sounding 8Mp camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash comes built into the HTC Incredible S.  This can also record video in HD 720p resolution and at a very decent 30 frames per second. A decent sized screen should also show off the pictures well – although this doesn’t have as high resolution as some of its rivals such as the iPhone 4S.
See the full results of our lab test of the HTC Incredible S

5. Nokia N8

On paper the Nokia N8 is probably the best camera found in a mobile phone – with a huge resolution of 12Mp, Carl Zeiss optics and a xenon flash. Its operating system may be a bit behind the curve, but when it comes to sheer hardware it’s unmatched.
Read our full review of the Nokia N8 from our extensive lab tests.

Apple iPhone 4S Review 64GB Black Sprint

The good: Apple's iPhone 4S has a faster processor and an upgraded camera, all the benefits of iOS 5, and a useful and immensely fun voice assistant. Call quality on the Sprint model is admirable, and the data speeds, while certainly not 4G, get the job done.
The bad: It's about time we get a larger screen.
The bottom line: The iPhone 4S isn't the king of cell phones, but it's part of the royal family nonetheless. Even without 4G and a giant screen, this phone's smart(ass) voice assistant, Siri, the benefits of iOS 5, and its spectacular camera make it a top choice for anyone ready to upgrade.

For the first time since the iPhone was born four years ago, a new model didn't arrive in June this year. The wait set the iPhone 5 rumor mill frothing to overflow, so when the iPhone 4S arrived as an incremental upgrade, fanboys commenced an Internet-wide rending of garments. Some critics grumbled that they didn't get more, and I sympathize...kind of. Yes, the lack of 4G is disappointing. And yes, a totally new design would have been fun. But this is hardly the first time that Apple has chosen to make a subtle upgrade. Remember the iPhone 3GS?

The truth is that the 4S brings healthy improvements to an already excellent device. iPhone owners finally get a 64GB model and a better camera, the dual-core processor delivers more speed, and Siri, the iPhone 4S' personal assistant/robot friend/gofer, adds a new and sassy experience. iOS 5 also trots out changes big and small, and we're glad to see Sprint join the Apple family with a true world phone. So while the iPhone 4S isn't the Jesus phone, it's quite enough for plenty of other people-- more than a million, actually.
Not everything impressed me. I'd prefer a slightly larger screen and my list of iPhones misses remains hefty. Performance on the Sprint model is satisfactory. We encountered slower 3G data speeds than on the Verizon phone, but Sprint has a slight edge in call quality. Remember that there will be a discernible difference between the 4S versions (just like we found with the AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4S) so it's important to choose your carrier wisely.

In the end, the decision to buy an iPhone 4S will depend on your current carrier contract. If you aren't eligible for an upgrade with a rebate, I don't think the new features are worth paying full price (at least $500). But if you can upgrade with a discount, or if you're a Sprint customer waiting to get your hands on the iPhone for the very first time, there is enough here to warrant a switch. Sure, there's the chance that a better "iPhone 5" will come next June, but that's a long time to wait. Besides, in the cell phone world, something better is always around the corner.
Design
As I said, the iPhone 4S is indistinguishable from its predecessor. For the most part, that's fine with me. Having lived through the thin phone craze started by the Motorola Razr, I'm not aching for a slimmer device. Granted, the 4S can feel bulky at times, but I continue to enjoy its solid feel in the hand (something that's not always there with skinny phones). I don't have any problems with the handset's general aesthetics, either. A thinner phone may be prettier, but it's what's inside that really counts.

HTC denied Windows 8 tablet action

We finally met the first round of Windows 8 tablets at Computex 2012 in Taipei this week, including goodies from the likes of Acer and Asus.

But one manufacturer not showing off Windows 8 tablets was Taiwan’s HTC, and various speculators reckon we shouldn’t expect to see such devices any time soon.

That’s the story according to sources of Bloomberg. Essentially, Microsoft is keen to restrict the number of ARM/Windows 8 RT devices in the first wave, and “opted not to work with HTC after initial discussions with the company”.
HTC’s ailing fortunes are supposedly to blame. The Taiwanese manufacturer recently cut its second-quarter sales forecast by 13%, and shares dropped 6.9% to NT$378 - their lowest in two years.
It’s also pointed out that HTC doesn’t exactly have a great track record in the tablet field to date. We’ve had the HTC Flyer, HTC Evo View 4G, and HTC Jetstream, all of which – incidentally – are stuck on Honeycomb (Android 3.0).
One source hints that HTC might’ve rocked the boat by pushing for a customised home screen, to make its Windows 8 tablets stand out. Oops.
However, one chap says HTC might get a look in during the second wave of Windows 8 tablets - in 2013. Poor HTC. Source: mobot.net

Met Police rolling out new phone zapping tool that can copy your info in minutes

London's Metropolitan Police are to start using new software that will dramatically fast-track the process of extracting data from a suspect's mobile phone.

The Aceso mobile phone data extraction software from intelligence industry specialist Radio Tactics will reportedly enable officers to extract call and messaging info on the spot, even if the SIM card is locked.

The idea is to streamline the evidence-gathering process, enabling officers to act on incriminating information found on a suspect's phone on the spot, rather than having to wait for results to return from the digital forensic lab, which in low-level cases often takes weeks.
Met deputy assistant commissioner Steven Kavanagh said the software would speed up the evidence-gathering process dramatically, effectively giving each Borough its own forensic lab rather than everyone having to rely on a central facility burdened struggling under an ever-increasing workload.
“Mobile phones and other devices are increasingly being used in all levels of criminal activity,” Kavanagh said. “Our ability to act on forensically-sound, time-critical information, from SMS to images contained on a device quickly gives us an advantage in combating crime, notably in terms of identifying people of interest quickly and progressing cases more efficiently.”
The other side to that argument, however, is that in today's climate of the ends justifying pretty much any means, a system that gives officers the power to scan a suspect's mobile phone on the spot based only on the suspicion of wrongdoing is open to significant abuse and raises very real privacy concerns, even assuming there are safeguards in place.
But with social networks and messaging platforms such as BlackBerry's BBM having been widely blamed for playing a central part in last year's London riots, those concerns are unlikely to be any more than half-hearted.
However, Radio Tactics boss Andy Gill has indirectly implied that Aceso has difficulties penetrating BlackBerry's security measures, with TechRadar quoting him referring to RIM's mobile hardware “an interesting challenge”.
Which suggests that even if BlackBerry wasn't already the number one choice for looters and miscreants last year, it sure will be now.

    Best Iphone Games

You've got yourself an iPhone and you want to play some games on it. You might not want to just plunge into the App store. It's a jungle, and it is full of bad games.
    Let us help you.
What's on top of the iPhone charts may not always be the most cleverly designed experiences. But, we think the ones below show off the appeal of iPhone gaming in the best possible light. And these games should make your commute and your line-waiting just a little more fun.

    1. Angry Birds
True story: someone the other day asked me what Angry Birds was. So, for you, random person, here's the basics. You're in control and crew of feathered friends who've had their eggs stolen from them. Get your revenge by flinging the titular birds at the pigs' abodes. Look, you should just play it. Everyone else is.
A Good Match for: Frustrated set designers. The enjoyment generated by the destruction of the porcine dwellings in Angry Birds is countered only by the joy of a new challenge.
Not for Those Who Want: things to fall in place. Angry Birds' material properties seem inconsistent. One minute, glass breaks and the next minute it's the last thing holding up the roof that you need to crash down on a pig general. Make up your mind, Angry Birds.

    2. Bejeweled
One of the most popular game franchises ever finds one of its best iterations on Apple's mobile phone. The hook here is the Diamond Mine mode, which use the same match-three mechanic to dig through layers of dirt… to expose more gems… to dig though more layers of dirt. Get the point?
A Good Match for: Fireworks lovers. A good stretch of Diamond Mine offers up explosions of color and sound that rival those of any Fourth of July celebration.
Not for Those Who Want: The standard, more placid Bejeweled experience. While it looks nearly the same, Diamond Mine Mode presents players with a nerve-racking twist on vanilla Bejeweled.

    3. Cut the Rope
Simplicity's been the key to success for ZeptoLab's hit physics puzzler. As intricate as the levels get in Cut the Rope, the slicing and tapping methods by which you get cute little alien Om Nom his candy never feel too complicated to execute.
A Good Match for: Grade schoolers. Who loves candy more than kids? Plus, the cartoony presentation and easy mechanics will draw them in right away.
Not for Those Who Want: Easy puzzles. Later levels of Cut the Rope will test the mastery of most players, as ropes, balloons and whoopee cushions get deployed in fiendishly maddening ways.

    4. Drop 7
AreaCode's numerical puzzle game may be the most perfect short-session game ever created. As falling numbers land on a 7×7 grid, you need to make them disappear by matching the number of vertical or horizontal spaces match the digit. Yes, it sounds tedious but when the rules finally click in your head, it's a lifetime addiction.

A Good Match for: anyone who spends a lot of time waiting for things or people. Whether it's stuck in traffic or waiting on a queue at the bank, a few quick levels of Drop7 will make any kind of stationary drudgery more bearable.
Not for Those Who Want: Productivity. It take superhuman willpower to resist the siren call of Drop7 and if you want to get anything done after installing it, make sure your iPhone's out of reach.

    5. Edge
Arguably the cleverest platformer on iOS, Mobigames' acclaimed release has users moving a cube along the gaps and floating platforms of a geometrically disjointed world. Edge delivers a solid-feeling inertia and
A Good Match For: M. C. Escher admirers. The levels in Edge look like 8-bit deconstructions of the Dutch artist's perception-challenging drawings. Some of them will have the same electrifying effect on your brain cells, too.
Not for Those Who Want: To avoid virtual touchpad's. The usual problems with iDevice interfaces—finicky acknowledgement of inputs, greasy screens—will force you into using Edge's most inelegant control method if you want to complete it.

    The New iPhone 5

After the launch of the new iPad, everybody is talking about the name of the future iPhone. The question on everyone’s head is will it be the new iphone, will it be the new iphone 5 or it will be named simple iPhone 5. Apple surprised everyone with the name with iPad. It is a little confusing for the customer. For example lets picture the following future situation: there will be a new iPad launched next year. I go to the market or i want to purchase it on the internet. How will i ask the shop consultants about my needs.
Going back to our beloved iPhone and its release name, i am imagining the following dialog with the shop assistant:
“Hello, i want the new iPhone”
“Which one would you like to purchase?”
    “The new one”
“Well we have on stock two generations of iPhone : the new iPhone and the new iPhone, which one would you like the buy?”

    iPhone 5
How the new iphone going to look like? To answer sincerelly WE DO NOT know. That’s why we have posted a question mark iPhone in the site. Nobody knows yet, probably the only one who knows how it will look like is the Apple CEO.
We don’t even know the new iphone release date, name or anything else. How could we know how it will be designed. All i can say for sure is that i trust Apple and i am sure the new iPhone design and features will make it the best gadget in the world (at the moment).
Why did Apple name iPad 3, the new iPad ?
My humble opinion is that they named it in order to create more buzz around the release of the iPhone 5. And it actually worked. People whre getting tired to wait for the new iPhone 5 release and everything was a mistery after the iPhone 4S release. As i showed you earlier in my post, iPhone lovers started the speculations about the new name of the iPhone and Google is full of discussions about this subject. This marketing technique made people to be more anxious about the release. I,as an iPhone lover, can’t wait for the new iphone to be available for purchase. This proves that it worked on me.
People also speculated that the new iphone will be named iPhone SJ and it will be launched 1 year after Steve Jobs passed away. NO WAY it will happen. They won’t celebrate the death of Apple’s creator with a new iPhone. This speculation was more credible if it was to celebrate his birthday.

So will it be iPhone 5 or the new iPhone?
My 2 cents goes to the name of iPhone 5. Why? Because Apple won’t break a succesful pattern in order to test new naming format. To sum it up, this was a diversion to call the new iPad just for the sake of the new iPhone.
Will the new iphone 5 come fully unlocked? Again that won’t be possible in years. People are not affording to pay 700$ or more for an unlocked iPhone. They preffer to lease it with a carrier network and pay for subscription. So do not expect for this gadget to come unlocked. It will be the same as it was before so don’t be afraid that you won’t afford it
